This weekend I picked up one of those roof tripod things from a ham buddy of mine, and subsequently went to the hardware store to get some 2x4s for the base, and a 10′ piece of steel conduit pipe. After assembling everything I’ve created what I like to call the “Renter’s Tower.”<\/p>\n

Granted, it’s not very high, about 12.5′ from the ground to the top, but it’s better than on the ground, and easier to mount an antenna to than a tree. So I’m pretty pleased.<\/p>\n
